Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information The Kind Host collects when you visit thekindhost.com, how it’s used, and the choices you have. Last updated: May 6, 2026.
Information we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles people read and how they got to the site. GA4 collects standard browser metadata (page URL, referrer, device type, approximate location, anonymous user ID). We do not collect names, emails, or other personally identifying information through analytics.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) logs request data for security and performance monitoring. These logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
Cookies. Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies for measurement purposes. We do not use cookies for advertising at this time. If we add display advertising in the future, we will update this policy and disclose any new cookies before they are set.
How information is used
- To understand traffic patterns and which content is useful
- To diagnose technical issues
- To plan future content based on what readers find valuable
Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information. Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be shared with content partners (e.g., advertisers) once we begin running ads.
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link on our site, the destination retailer may set its own cookies. Their privacy policies apply to anything you do on those sites. See our affiliate disclosure for the list of programs we participate in.
Your choices
- Disable analytics. Most browsers support a “Do Not Track” signal or third-party cookie blocking. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.
- Reset your consent choice. Reset cookie consent. This clears your accept/decline choice on this site so the banner reappears.
- Contact us. Email hello@thekindhost.com to request information about data we may have associated with your visits, or to request deletion of any personal data.
Changes
We will update this policy when our data practices change (e.g., when we begin running display ads). The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
